TYPE BI

FOR CLEAN AIR APPLICATIONS THRU AMCA CLASS 2 PERFORMANCE

non-overloading BI meets today’s requirements for ventilating fans with high operating efficiency, quiet operation, versatility of application, rugged construction and built-in ease of maintenance. Arrangement 3, sizes 600 thru 1200 are available in single inlet, single width AMCA Classes 1 and 2, clockwise and counterclockwise rotations and top horizontal and upblast discharges. These fans are designed for belt drive or direct drive through a flexible coupling. The BI is complete with a heavy gauge welded steel housing;

torusoidal inlet bell with fixed guide vanes; wheel with single thickness, backwardly-curved airfoil blades and a rugged bearing base. AMCA Class 1 fans are furnished with deep groove ball bearings on sizes 600 thru 1200, AMCA Class 2 fans are furnished with roller bearings on sizes 600 thru 980 and split pillow block roller bearings on sizes 1085 thru 1200. The shaft extends beyond the bearing base and has a keyway for installation of the user’s sheave or coupling. All units are statically and dynamically balanced before shipment.





TYPE BI

AMCA Class 2 fans are furnished with deep groove ball bearings on sizes 600 thru 730, roller bearings on sizes 805 thru 980 and split pillow block roller bearings on sizes 1085 thru 1200. The shaft extends beyond the bearing base and has a keyway for installation of the user’s sheave or coupling. All units are statically and draamically balanced before shipment. Arrangement 1 BI fans are available with optional unistmt motor rails shipped loose with the fan. The unistrut rails can be shipped loose for permanent mounting to the BI fan bearing base by the fan user.





"PB" & "RPB"

The 2VEH and 2E fans are supplied with heavy gauge die formed steel housings and motor bases.The 2 VEH is supplied with a variable speed motor (600-3200 RPM) suitable for single phase, 60 Hz, 115 volt operation. The solid state speed controller is shipped loose for field installation.

All nuffoio fans are statically and dynamically balanced prior to shipment.

The “PB” & “RPB” blowersand exhausters are utilized for tlieir industrial range of performance characteristics, with static pressure capabilities from 2 thru 59 inches, and flow capacities from 150 to 8000 CFM.

Canada Blower ‘Baby Vent Sets” are available in seven handle any low pressure intake or exhaust application requiring 40 to 1800 CFM, All sizes are constructed with “rugged” cast iron housings, making them ideal for corrosive exhaust. Forward curved wheels are available in aluminum (sizes A-G) or steel (sizes B-G) and are direct connected to the motor shaft. All sizes are available in both clockwise (CW) and counterclockwise (CW) rotation.

Discharges can be furnished in any 45° incre-ment. All motors are ball bearing totally enclosed. Both fan cooled (TEFC) and explosion proof (TEXP) are available depending on your particular need. Motors %HP and smaller are either 1/60/115 or 1/60/115-230 while motors %HP and larger are 3/60/230-460. Aljjacis^re statically and dynamically balanced by Canada Blower prior to shipment.

FIBROUS MATERIALS

The radial bladed OW cone wheel is fabricated with no front flange. Omission of the flange allows free passage of fibrous materials such as wood shavings, ensilage, paper strips, textile products and other materials which normally tend to clog flanged type wheels.

HOT GASES

The AW wheel is designed for maximum efficiency while handling hot air, gases, fumes - either clean or containing light concentrations of solid materials. The backwardly inclined blades are curved slightly to maintain efficient gas flow through the fan.

VOLUME FANS

ARRANGMENT 1

WHEELS

The flanged wheel is built of all riveted construction with two die-formed rims and five die-formed radial blades of heavy gauge steel and a cast steel spider.

HOUSING

The fan housing, shown, is a one piece grey iron casting. The housing inlet plate and drive side plate are also one piece grey iron castings, bolted to the housing. The fan inlet and outlet are designed for slip connection to the user’s duct or standard size pipe.

BEARINGS

Arrangement 1 Volume Fans are equipped with two heavy duty, single row, deep groove grease lubricated ball bearing pillow blocks mounted on a rugged fabricated steel bearing base. The shaft is ground and polished steel with a keyway for installation of the user’s sheave or flexible coupling.

FOR ABRASIVE AND CORROSIVE APPLICATIONS

Canada Blower Volume Fans provide extended service life and reliable performance in punishing applications. A ruggedly contructed cast iron housing and heavy gauge fabricated steel wheel and housing supports enable the Volume Fan to provide long, troublefree service in applications handling hard, gritty, abrasive material in the air stream. Because all housing parts, which come in contact with a contaminated air stream,

are constructed of cast iron, the Volume Fan can be successfully used in applications with corrosive vapors present. These fans are particularly adaptable to pneumatic conveying, drying, supplying combustion air, exhausting waste air, gas, vapor and/or materials, ventilating and inflating. The pressure and volume characteristics are more than adequate to handle the requirements usually encountered in this type of work.
